WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Aspirus Riverview Wound & Hyperbarics has received the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D. Center of Excellence Award for excellence in wound healing.
To earn the award, the center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 24 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent and a healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 30 median days.
Located within Aspirus Riverview Hospital, Aspirus Riverview Wound & Hyperbarics offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in 30 days. Advanced treatments include negative pressure wound therapy, bio-engineered skin substitutes, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, biological and biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies.
“Many people deal with chronic wounds and don’t know where to turn for help,” said Diane McNeil, Program Director, Aspirus Riverview Wound & Hyperbarics. “Our center has top-notch providers and nurses who have received specialized training in wound healing using evidence-based treatments for the best outcomes. Our team’s passion and goal is to heal our patients in the quickest amount of time so they can get back to doing what they enjoy most. One recent patient stated, ‘I had a severe diabetic food ulcer. All I wanted was to be healed so I could dance at my daughter’s wedding this summer. I am now healed and will be dancing.’”
