WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Learn how to lower your risk of diabetes and pre-diabetes by attending a series of classes offered by Aspirus Riverview Hospital.
“The Risk of Diabetes & Pre-diabetes” will be held April 11, 18, 25 and May 2, from 6:30 to 8 pm in the lower level conference center at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, 410 Dewey Street, Wisconsin Rapids.
The four-class series is designed for those who have been told their blood sugars are high, as well as those who simply wish to learn more about reducing their diabetes/pre-diabetes risk.
Classes will be led by an Aspirus Riverview registered dietitian, who will explain simple lifestyle changes, including wise food choices, grocery store strategies, and the benefits of exercise.
The series is free with a suggested donation of $10 to be paid at the first class. Advance registration is required, as space is limited. To register, please call 715.422.9287 and ask for Rebecca White.
