Aspirus Welcomes Newborn “Stocking Stuffer”: Emma Jo Hintz
City Times Staff
WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Every year Aspirus Hospital celebrates their “stocking stuffers” in form of creating infant-sized stocking stuffers for newborns.
Born on Dec. 12, Emma Jo Hintz is the daughter of Joe Hintz and Maggie Reily of Plover. Her stocking was made courtesy of the Gamma-Phi sisters, as they are on year 26 of this annual tradition of making stockings for newborns in December.
All in all, 35 stockings have been crafted for this year’s newborns, decorated with a stork design. This tradition is sponsored by the Bag Lady litter bags that are distributed throughout the Wisconsin Rapids Cranberry Festival parade route each year.
