WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The SWC YMCA will be holding its third running of the Bridge 2 Bridge 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, June 16 beginning at 8:00 a.m. All proceeds benefit the YMCA Chronic Disease Programs, specifically our LIVESTRONG program.
This captivating event bolsters one of the regions truly outstanding race courses, bar none. With the starting and finishing line emanating at Witter Field, the race will take participants along the historic Wisconsin River, through the immaculate downtown area of Wisconsin Rapids and over two landmark bridges. All along the course there will over 30 diligent and lion-hearted volunteers working in conjunction with the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department who’ll provide our runners and walkers a safe and first class race experience.
Shortly after the completion of the Bridge 2 Bridge Run/Walk 5K beginning at 9:30 a.m. there will be Kids Obstacle Run that will take kids age 10 and under around the ball field where the Rafters play and then out to a field where a series of enthralling and daunting obstacles will await them and test their meddle.
The Bridge 2 Bridge 5K Run/Walk is $15 right up through June 15. Race day registration is $20. This is a phenomenal price for a tremendous community event. (Kids Obstacle Run $5 through June 15. $10 on June 16). Child care watch is available during the race. New to the event this year is a Run/Walk team competition.

The Bridge 2 Bridge race is a proud partner with The Cranbury Blossom Fest which takes place during June 14-17. Our race on Saturday kicks off an assortment of fun activities for families that extend well into the weekend (check out events at www.BlosomFest.com).
