WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Downtown could receive a $20,000 face-lift, as city officials will discuss the approval of a downtown Facade program tonight.
Such a program will seek to upgrade the exterior of existing storefronts to make for a more appealing and updated look, which will hope to make way for a more vibrant area. These improvements will include painting, lighting, windows, tile, awnings, canopies, and signage — to give the downtown area a polished look.
This meeting will take place tonight at 5PM at city hall at the Finance & Property meeting. If approved, the program would be implemented by the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce. Full story to follow at noon tomorrow.
