Abstract Painting Workshop – April 30, 2018; 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Paint with a purpose – a new workshop for intermediate to advanced level painters interested in learning how to paint in an abstract way. Artist Bonnie Dhein will teach foundations for holding an abstract (or nonobjective) design together. Explore a variety of techniques with emphasis on finding what works for you as an artist. Primary focus on composition, values, mark-making, and individuality.
• Workshop fee: $45.00, all materials provided
• Previous acrylic, oil, or watercolor painting experience recommended; this is not a class to learn color
mixing.
• Space limited to 10 students.
Mosaic Window Class –Class Dates: April 23 & 30, May 7 & 14, 2018; 1 – 4 p.m.
Experience the endless possibilities of this beautiful art form! Create a mosaic window by using colored glass, a
cutter and grout! Artist Bonnie Dhein will introduce you to the many, varied types of glass available for mosaics and teach you how to cut and shape glass into tesserae (the basic mosaic unit). You will gain a strong foundation for constructing interior mosaics including safety, design, layout, cutting, adhesives, grouting, finishing, and more.
• Class Fee: $150 includes $25 materials fee and additional Open Studio time.
• For all levels of students.
• All materials provided.
• Bring your own design or choose an image offered at class.
• Open Studio dates will be announced during class.
• Space limited to 10 students.
