An early Wednesday morning fire engulfed the Wisconsin Rapids Mega Car Wash.
Deputy Fire Chief Scott Young stated that the damage done resulted in a total loss, but posed no danger outside of the building.
“We just tried to protect any exposures, which there were really none, and it was just, defensive attack and extinguish the fire. As of right now, they’re investigating the cause, said Young. “It’s undetermined at this time.”
Reported at approximately 6:45 a.m., firefighters arrived to find the building fully engulfed in flames. The damage done to gasoline pumps on the property was limited.
With an estimated $200,000 in damages, an investigation into the fire is ongoing.
