NEKOOSA — Four Nekoosa residents face a slew of drug charges after a police search warrant led to their arrests.
According to reports, on Feb. 23, a search warrant was carried out at a residence on the 400 block of Wood Ave. in Nekoosa. Upon entering, authorities identified the occupants as 35-year-old Heather Webb, 25-year-old Bronson Corn, 18-year-old Michael Murphy, and 29-year-old Michael Sullivan. *mugshot not available*
Also present in the house were five children between the ages of five and nine, three of whom were the biological children of Webb.
Multiple drug items and paraphernalia were found throughout the house, including illegal substances. Police would find a plastic straw in the back pocket of Corn containing traces of methamphetamine. Sullivan’s vehicle was also searched by police, and they would uncover drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and a cigarette pack with a baggie of methamphetamine inside.
Murphy was found to be in possession of marijuana wax at the time. Police would search the purse of Webb, and found a plastic straw with methamphetamine residue. Inside a bedroom, the search would also turn up more marijuana, paraphernalia, and underneath a bedroom pillow, two gem bags of methamphetamine.
It is believed that the drugs were smoked in the presence of the children, which would have had them subjected to second-hand smoke.
Corn, Sullivan, and Webb all have prior drug convictions in the past. If convicted, both Webb and Corn face up to seven years imprisonment for possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug trafficking place, as well as additional time for multiple counts of child neglect. Sullivan faces seven years imprisonment for charges of possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, while Murphy faces charges of methamphetamine possession.
Webb and Corn have been released on a $750 bond, and future court dates are pending.
