WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Wood Co. Drug Task Force is teaming up with members of the Aspirus Riverview Foundation and McMillan Library for a very special presentation next week.
Wood County Drug Task Force in partnership with Aspirus Riverview Foundation invites all residents to attend a community presentation titled: A Path Towards Progress: What’s been happening in our community to address the drug epidemic?
The event will take place Wednesday, March 21 from 5:30-7:30pm at McMillan Memorial Library in Wisconsin Rapids. Free dinner and childcare are available.
Presenters include Investigator Sergeant Andrew Simon, Wood County Sheriff’s Department, and Detective Kasandra Borchardt, Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, who will share information about Wood County drug trends, as well as local prevention efforts, treatment options, and recovery programs to address the drug epidemic.
“It takes a community to address this critical challenge, and great things are being done,” said Kurt D. Heuer, Chair, Wood County Drug Task Force. “Join us to learn more and see how you can be part of making a difference.”
