A 24-year-old man faces heroin charges after police say he sold heroin, and was in possession of other controlled substances.
Dylan Allison, of Wisconsin Rapids, is charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, and possession of a controlled substance.
According to police reports, on Mar. 17, a search warrant was executed at a residence on the 5700 block of Boulder Circle in Grand Rapids. In Allison’s bedroom, officers located a glass jar with white chunks of a substance in cellophane believed to be heroin. Also found was one and a half tablets of Zolpidem, six pseudoephedrine pills, a digital scale, a glass pipe with green and black residue, and other drug paraphernalia.
Tests would later confirm the white chunks to be heroin.
Allison allegedly told officers on Mar. 18 that the day prior he traveled to Milwaukee with two females and purchased five grams of heroin from a Milwaukee dealer. He stated that in the past year he traveled to Milwaukee on a weekly basis specifically to purchase heroin.
In the interview Allison admitted giving out heroin to others, and that he sold heroin to support his own heroin habit.
If convicted, Allison faces up to 12 years and six months imprisonment and up to $25,000 in fines. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Apr. 29.
