The Mid-State Speaker Series will host a special presentation on the heroin epidemic facing Central Wisconsin.
This will be held at Mid-State on Monday, April 10, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
With heroin and other opiate-related deaths on the rise in Wisconsin, the effects are widespread into the Wisconsin Rapids community. Through the interactive panel, attendees will hear discussion from local officials and experts, including Mid-State graduates directly effected by this epidemic.
Those in attendance will also gain valuable resources and insight into ‘ripple effects’ from heroin use within the community. This presentation is open to the public.
The panel will be held at Mid-State’s Campus Auditorium, located at 500 32nd St. North.
