A 28-year-old woman faces charges of theft of movable property and felony possession of a firearm after police say she stole firearms from family members and then sold them.
Brittany Pasch, of Nekoosa, is charged with felony possession of a firearm, and theft of movable property. According to police reports, on Jun. 7, 2015, an officer was dispatched to the 14200 block of Rangeline Rd. in Saratoga to investigate a report of theft.
According to the complainant, approximately two weeks before hand Pasch had moved in with a couple of family members. He stated that two handguns, a shotgun, two long guns, and a pellet gun were missing from the residence.
An officer made contact with Pasch later that day, who admitted sending someone into the home to steal the guns in efforts to later pawn them for money. Pasch sent another friend to actually pawn the guns and return the cash in exchange to Pasch. Officers contacted this person who stated that Pasch allegedly needed the money.
The pawn shop only purchased two of the stolen guns for the amount of $100.
According to Wood County Clerk of Courts, Pasch has a previous conviction of manufacturing or delivering cocaine in late 2012. if convicted, Pasch faces up to 10 years imprisonment and up to $25,000 in fines.
Her pre-trial conference is set for Apr. 22.
