Papermakers Score 43 in Second Straight Win

WISCONSIN DELLS — Nekoosa would put up 364 yards in their second straight win of the year with a 43-28 win over Wisconsin Dells.
While Kyle Olson continues to improve his play, going 7-for-11, 164 yards and a touchdown, tonight was the Dylan Bills show. Bills would rush for 120 yards on 24 carries, with three touchdowns on the night.
However, the game was a see-saw battle at the beginning, as the Dells opened up strong with a first quarter touchdown to put them up 8-0. After Bills answered with a touchdown to tie it up, the Dells answered right back, making it 14-8 after the first quarter.
Touchdowns from Trent Waltenburg and Dylan Bills, as well as a scoreless second quarter from the Dells put Nekoosa up 22-14 at halftime.
After another Bills touchdown, and a Sawyer Goodwin fumble return for touchdown, the Papermakers put away the game late in the third, going up 37-14. A 56-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Wolf from Olson put the Papermakers up 43-14.
Two late scores from the Dells wasn’t enough, as Nekoosa picks up their second straight road win in impression fashion.
Nekoosa improves to 2-3 on the year and will host Mauston next week at home.
