Police Chief Blevins Sworn In By Council

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — New Chief of Police Erman Blevins was officially welcomed by city council members last night.
Blevins was sworn into his position by Administrative Assistant Sue Bravick at Tuesday’s common council meeting, and received a warm welcome from city officials on hand.
“I’ll just reiterate how pleased my wife and I are — we’re very happy to be here,” said Blevins. “We’ve been looking forward to coming up here for a long time. It’s a wonderful community, and we’re so happy to be here.”
Erman Blevins holds a Master’s Degree from American Military University in Homeland Security, as well as attending the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy in 2012. Blevins was the former Commander for the Carpentersville Police from 1990-2016, and served as Chief of Police for Rantoul, ill. from Febuuary 2016 to January 2017.
