STEVENS POINT — Cops are going wild at Buffalo Wild Wings by acting as hospitality servers during the lunch and dinner hours on Saturday night.
On April 29, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. uniformed officers from Portage County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Rapids Police Department and Wood County Sheriff’s Department will switch it up from the police beat to serve the community for a great cause acting as guest wait stuff at the Stevens Point Buffalo Wild Wings.
All tips raised and 10% of all food sales will benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin. The goal of this event is $3,000 to be raised for Special Olympics athletes in the area.
“Whether it’s sitting on roof tops, selling t-shirts, plunging into frozen lakes, running miles, volunteering at competitions, or waiting tables; law enforcement agencies are champions for Special Olympics Athletes. By raising awareness and funds, lawenforcement officers help provide year round sports programing for children and adults with cognitive disabilities. There are over 1,000 local Athletes who train and compete in our community each year, events like Cops Gone Wild help make it possible.”
Buffalo Wild Wings is located at 5730 Highway 10 East in Stevens Point.
