City Times Staff
The Riverkings move to 19-3 and remain in first place with a win over the River Falls Renegades this weekend.
After two periods of back and fourth play, the score was tied 2-2 going into the third period. Adam Meister changed all of that with the go-ahead goal six minutes into the third period to make it 3-2.
However, the night belonged to Ryan Mantz, who added to the lead with goals in the ninth and 15th minute to make it 5-3 after a late Renegades goal. Mantz hit the back of the net in the first and second period, giving him four goals on the night.
Harrison Kohl, Reed Kaiser, and James Stiles all contributed to the win with two assists each. The Riverkings return to action on Dec. 9 at home when they take on the Forest Lake Lakers.
