WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings have sign two young players from the Dallas Blackhawks U16 AAA team.
Both players played for current Riverkings’ Scout Shaun Falzone and will add youth as the Riverkings look to reload for continued success in the United States Premier Hockey League.
The new Riverkings are highlighted by smooth skating defenseman Jordan Stear from Frisco, TX.
“Jordan will add speed and skill to the king of the river backend,” Coach Martin Quarters said. “Jordan has the skill, skating ability, vision, and passing skills to step in as a rookie and contribute to our lineup from day one. Not only is Jordan a top prospect, but it is his character and work ethic that made his signing a perfect fit”.
Also coming to the Riverkings from Dallas is young power-forward Justin Trevino. The San Antonio native will be joining the Riverkings and attending Lincoln High School with Jordan this fall.
Coach Quarters said, “Justin is a big strong 6’1” 210 forward who has size, heavy shot, and a determination that fits our culture. Our staff looks for Justin to develop into a powerful wing that resembles current Riverking, and last year’s most improved player, Richy Young.”
