Riverkings Sign Young Power Forward to Roster
By Joe Bachman
WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Another Colorado native will be joining the Riverkings this season.
The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings have announced the singing of young power-forward Cole Creger. Creger played in the Michigan AAA system for two years with Belle Tire and Meijer Elite before jumping to the area. His brother Chance Creger played for the Riverkings, as well.
Cole is no stranger to Junior hockey and shows great leadership potential as he has taken on the role as Captain on teams for the last four years. According to scouts, the 5’8” 185lb forward brings an excellent playmaking ability and tremendous physical play to a strong forward core returning from last season.
“Cole is a player we have know about for the past five years because his brother Chance played for us and he has worked with Riverkings skills coach/scout, Brent Cullaton,” said Head Coach Marty Quarters. “Cole will be attending Lincoln High School and is a natural leader and mature beyond his years. Being a power forward with a goal scorers shot, Cole physical play and work ethic fit the Riverkings culture of playing fast, hard, and physical.”
