WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Waterford at Wisconsin Rapids held an open house on Tuesday afternoon for an annual celebration.
Over a year ago, Pine Ridge Assisted Living was bought out by Capital Assisted Living, who re-branded the facility as the Waterford. According to Capital Assisted Living, the center is run with the focus on self-reliance with a supportive environment and staff.
“We’re so excited to celebrate what’s been over a year as the Waterford,” said Manager Gail Wilkins.
Capital Assisted Living has 130 locations nationwide with nine in Wisconsin. The company is based out of Dallas, Texas. The Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce was on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony to officially welcome the new brand to the chamber.
“We’re so happy with the the way they’re running things and their focus on keeping everything local,” said Wilkins. “We’re happy with the transition and we just want to celebrate this year.”
The Waterford at Wisconsin Rapids is located at 491 25th St. North.
