Jogger harassed by admirer
At 7:17 a.m., a 49-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman reported that while she was out running that morning two men approached her in a car. They kept trying to talk with her as she kept running. After a while, the men caught back up to her and tried talking with her again.
Thelma & Louise busted
At 7 p.m., an employee of a department store called in a theft. Two women had walked out of the store with a cart load of stolen items. Police were able to locate the vehicle the women left in. All items were returned to the store.
Where’s the beef?
At 12:52 p.m., a 27-year-old Nekoosa woman called to report that while in the parking lot of a department store in Wisconsin Rapids, a man in a white van stopped and started asking weird questions, including asking if she would like to buy steaks out of his vehicle. Police warned the 59-year-old man not to be selling things without a license.
I’ll bring the Ranch dressing
At 2:30 a.m., a 69-year-old Wisconsin Rapids resident reported that someone had thrown eggs and tomatoes at their house and vehicles. There will be extra patrol in the area.
At 8:54 p.m., a 27-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man called police as it appears there is a man living in the garage of a transitional house. The 52-year-old man is not supposed to be on the property. The 27-year-old has seen this man in the garage for two nights and has not confronted him. Police came and sent the 52-year-old man on his way.
Car crash debris
At 11:18 a.m., a woman called to report damage to her yard from a possible car crash. After police investigated, it was determined that there was no damage to the yard. Car parts were put near the road for a street sweeper to come.
At 9:28 a.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman called to report that she saw someone around a vacant neighborhood home but having work done on it. When police arrived they did find a female at the residence. She was warned for trespassing and sent on her way.
