July 23
Kent Clark denied haircut
At 3:26 p.m., a 33-year-old man attempted to make an appointment for a hair cut under a false name. The man is not to be on the property of this hair salon. The man made the appointment, then left as he was to come back in a few hours for his appointment. Officers were standing by for his return.
July 25
Woman punches man
At 3:29 p.m., a woman reported seeing a man and woman fighting about a hole in a tire. The woman then punched the man in the face and took off in her van. The woman did come back. Officers spoke to both parties, and they went on their way.
Multiple reports of harassment
During the day multiple reports came in regarding a 20-year-old man harassing a 21-year-old woman over the phone, as well as in person at her place of employment. He even damaged property at her place of employment.
Hooded men confront woman
At 11:09 p.m., a woman reported that while she was in her vehicle parked, two men approached her with hoods pulled up over their faces. They asked her what she was doing parked there and then left. Officers checked the area, but did not find any one matching that description.
July 26
Verbal argument turns physical
At 1:11 a.m., a 16-year-old male called to report that his mom and her boyfriend were arguing. It was mostly verbal but had started to turn physical. Police arrived and the boyfriend agreed to leave for the night.
Security system saves the day
At 1:21 p.m., a 36-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man contacted police asking them to check his property as he is on vacation and received a notification from his security system that something had happened. The camera was not recording but it triggered his alarm at the back door. Police arrived on scene and found two males in the man’s garage. The men were arrested and taken to the jail.
Man reports tire slasher
At 1:45 p.m., a 25-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man called police because a 23-year-old woman was walking in front of his house and she had already sliced two of his tires in the past week. The man had left his house at that time but is asking for extra patrol in the area.
