At 12:46 p.m., a resident of a Wisconsin Rapids rental area called to complain that other renters were putting garbage out in the street and that it is blowing all over. This is an ongoing issue and the resident wanted the ordinance office to be aware of the issue.
Too long of a walk home
At 4:10 a.m., a 28-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman reported a man passed out in her yard. When police arrived the man was awake and was able to tell them where he lived. He was transported home.
This little piggy went to the pool
At 9:26 a.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman stated that there were three stray pigs in her in-ground swimming pool. After an investigation it was found that the pigs are being babysat by a Wisconsin Rapids man, and they had gotten away from him.
Truck thieves quickly caught
At 11:46 p.m., a 67-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man called to report that someone had stolen the vehicle from his driveway. Police were able to quickly locate the vehicle. A 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were both taken into custody.
Dazed and Confused
At 1:24 a.m., a 59-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman called to report a 33-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man appeared to be high on something and was talking weird and acting paranoid. She asked that he be removed from the residence. The man was taken to the local hospital and was medically cleared. He was then taken to the jail.
Sleeping at the drive-thru
At 4:28 a.m., an employee of a fast food chain reported a suspicious vehicle parked in a dark area by their drive thru. The car was parked facing the wrong direction, and she was unable to tell if the car was occupied. After police investigated, they found the car was occupied and that they were just sleeping. The car and its occupants then left.
