Dog left in car
At 12:20 p.m., a 62-year-old Marshfield man reported that there was a dog lying in the vehicle with the windows cracked in the Wisconsin Rapids Walmart parking lot. The man said the dog had been in there for over an hour and that it was just lying in the car breathing heavily.
Theft of personal items
At 1:10 p.m., an 18-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man reported the theft of seven vape devices from his home. After the police officer left, the man called back as he discovered two I pads were also missing.
Restraining order violation
At 3:36 p.m., a 39-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman reported that her ex-husband broke into her home again and took items. She reported that the 38-year-old man also unpacked items and put them back around the house. There is a current restraining order against the man.
Man threatens pregnant girlfriend
At 4:16 p.m., a 27-year-old pregnant Wisconsin Rapids woman reported her boyfriend just pushed her down and spit on her face. He also threatened to kill her. The woman waited in her vehicle in the driveway until police arrived. The officer told the 22-year-old man not to return to the residence.
At 10:52 p.m., a 47-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man reported that his ex-girlfriend, a 44-year-old woman, who has an active restraining order against the man, tried to block his vehicle near the school where he was picking up his children. He stopped, then drove around her vehicle and left.
New boyfriend won’t leave
At 6:11 a.m., a 27-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman notified the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department that her boyfriend told her to get out of the car and then left in his car. The 27-year-old boyfriend came back and wouldn’t leave her alone. The woman told police she did not feel safe getting in the car with him again, as she had only known him for a week.
