Man Dies After Logging Accident

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department says a 52 year-old Wisconsin Rapids man is dead after a logging accident late Wednesday morning.

Arthur J. Kleinhenz, of Wisconsin Rapids, was cutting down trees in the Town of Cranmoor when a tree fell on his about 11:30 AM on Wednesday.

Kleinhenz was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the sheriff’s department.

 

Nekoosa Ambulance, Port Edwards Fire Department, Wood County Sheriff’s Rescue and Spirit Helicopter all responded to the scene.
