Council, Public Invited to Focus Group on Riverfront Plans

City Times Staff
The city’s first focus group regarding the future of the Wisconsin Rapids riverfront will be held on June 3.
The focus group is being held by a consultant the city recently hired to design the future of the riverfront, which is expected to include a more defined trail, bathrooms, scenic overlooks, fishing piers, public gathering space and a possible band shell.
The forum is being held on Wednesday, June 3, at 9 AM, in the first-floor conference room at the city hall, 444 West Grand Avenue. It is possible more than half of the members of the Council, or more than half of the members of a standing committee of the Council, may be present.
The meeting may involve information gathering on matters that could come before the standing committees or Council at a later time. No action will be taken by city leaders.
