River Cities Community Access does a better job than most of broadcasting the community’s municipal meetings, school board meetings and other community events. It’s the area’s own little TV station.

Found on Solarus channel 3, channel 985 on Charter or online at rccamedia.org, the channel even offers brief video tours- complete with some fairly high quality narration and musical score- of local historical buildings and community programs.

Unlike some neighboring communities, many municipal meetings from Wisconsin Rapids, Grand Rapids and Port Edwards are aired live, with past meetings available on the website.

The station also has video of all local high school graduations. DVD copies are available for $10 by calling (715) 423-0441.

For more information on RCCA, call Tom Loucks, public access coordinator at (715) 423-0441 or email [email protected]
