Isabel A. Brown, age 103, of Nekoosa, died Thursday September 3, 2015 at Riverview Medical Center. She had resided at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards for the past eight years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday September 8, 2015 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Nekoosa. Rev. Dennis Schwalenberg will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home is assisting the family. Isabel was born March 9, 1912 in Mauston to Lewis and Bertha (Dayton) Wells. She married Clarence Brown on March 17, 1934 in Mauston. He died May 9, 1982. Isabel was a former nurse’s aide at Edgewater Haven for eight years and was also a part time tester at Ocean Spray. She was a longtime member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Ladies Aid and was active in square dance clubs in Wisconsin and Texas.

She is survived by two children Byron (Gisela) Brown of Surprise, AZ and Beatrice (James) Olsen of Waupaca; five grandchildren Roger (Patti), David and Steven Brown, Connie Olsen Long (Kevin) and Scott (Sara) Olsen; and nine great grandchildren Courtney, Mark, Daniel and Robert Brown, Skye and Shane Olsen, and Keith, Brenda and Brett Long. She is also survived by her special friend, Scedra Stoffel who lavished her with hugs and kisses.

Isabel was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Jane Irene, grandson Mark Brown, four brothers Herman, Jeff, Chet and infant Godfrey and six sisters Hazel, Martha, Esther, Bessie, Florence and Blanche.
