Lawrence J. Boinski, age 86, of Port Edwards, WI died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau, WI.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Danny K’s Pub and Grill in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on Saturday October 31, 2015 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. Ritchay Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Lawrence was born July 27, 1929 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Thomas and Edna (Ebacher) Boinski. He married Gladys C. Arendt on September 4, 1954 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Lawrence was employed at the Port Edwards Division of Nekoosa Papers Inc. for 41 years retiring in 1990. Lawrence served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953 serving in Alaska.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Gladys; two daughters, Sue (Gary Steck) Boinski and their children, Victor and Rosie, of Gainsville, FL and Connie Kassera and her daughter, Lea of River Falls, WI. He is also survived by his dearest friends, his two cats, Hank and Peggy.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials can be designated to the South Wood County Emergency Food Pantry or to the Wood County Humane Society.
