Carol A. Tessmer, age 66, of N15140 23rd Avenue North, Nekoosa, died Monday, November 9, 2015 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Valentine Joseph will officiate, burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids on Wednesday from 4-7 PM, and again on Thursday from 10 AM until time of services.

Carol was born March 22, 1949 in Cudahy, WI to the late Anthony and Ann (Janicek) Luljak. She married Don Tessmer on October 2, 1971 at St. Joe’s Catholic Church in Cudahy, WI. Carol graduated from UW-Madison with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. She was employed as an industrial nurse, working for various companies and was last employed as a school nurse with the Wisconsin Rapids Public School System. Carol enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family.

Carol is survived by her husband Don Tessmer of Nekoosa; children David (Dawn) Tessmer of Bozrah, CT, Thomas (McKenya) Tessmer of Fayetteville, AR, Michael (Brandi) Tessmer of Evansville, WI, grandchildren Daxton, Aislynn and Zelia Tessmer, brothers Richard (Doris) Luljak of South Milwaukee, WI, Thomas (Wendy) Luljak of Whitefish Bay, WI and James (Kathi) Luljak of Milwaukee, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law Betsy.
