Five Wisconsin Rapids residents face drug charges of varying severity after police searched their home.

See Her, 55 is charged with felonious possession with intent to sell methamphetamine which carries a maximum sentence of up to 25 years imprisonment, or a $100,000 fine or both if convicted. She is also charged with possession of narcotics with a possible sentence of up to three years and six months imprisonment, or a $10,000 fine or both.

Ge Khang, 58, is also charged with possession of narcotics with the same possible maximum sentence if convicted.

Shoua Lee, 28, and Yia Yang, 31, both face charges of felony possession of methamphetamine with a maximum possible sentence of up to three years and six months imprisonment, or a $10,000 fine or both if convicted.

Sher Khang, 31, is charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia for which he could see up to 30 days in jail, or a $500 fine or both.

According to court documents, on October 8 at about 7:00 AM, a Wisconsin Rapids Police detective executed a search warrant at a home on the 3000 block of Bonow Ave.

Upon searching a bedroom belonging to Her and Khang, police found pipes used for smoking marijuana and methamphetamine. A search of a vase uncovered 4.94 grams of opium and another package of opium was found on the floor.

Her’s purse was searched and multiple small bags of methamphetamine were found.

Her said the methamphetamine and opium belong to them and she sells meth to supplement her income. She did not elaborate on how much or to whom she sells.

A search of Lee’s car found 4.03 grams of methamphetamine.

Police then searched the basement bedroom of Yia Yang where they found a total of 1.35 grams of methamphetamine. A pipe for smoking methamphetamine was found in Sher Khang’s pocket.

Her is currently free on a $10,000 signature bond while Ge Khang, Yang and Lee are all out on $5,000 signature bonds and Sher Khang on a $1,000 bond.

The defendants’ next appearance in Wood County Circuit Court has not yet been scheduled.
