Historical Museum to Showcase Christmas Trees
By Jacob Mathias
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Wisconsin Rapids.
This year adds a new addition to the city’s holiday celebration and showcases the South Wood County Historical Museum. The museum will be decorated with 17 themed Christmas trees, holiday table decorations, and a large Santa collection all provided by local organizations and individuals. In addition, live entertainment and refreshments will be part of the program.
The Christmas trees can be viewed on Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
“I hope this can be an annual event and serve as a kickoff for the holiday season and draw more attention to our lovely museum.” said Event Chairperson Judy Paul.
The Christmas Tree Walk is sponsored by the Mayor’s Council on Beautification, the South Wood County Historical Corporation and a grant from the Incourage Community Foundation.
The South Wood County Historical Museum is located at 540 Third St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids.
