Voelker Named Aspirus Riverview Chief Medical Officer

Thomas Voelker, MD, has been named Chief Medical Officer and Southern Region Medical Director for Aspirus Riverview Hospital and Clinics effective December 14.

Dr. Voelker’s clinical experience includes serving as a family physician with Aspirus Doctors Clinic since 1987, during which time he has had active

status on the Aspirus Riverview Hospital Medical Staff.

Dr. Voelker’s administrative and governance experience includes past or current membership on the Aspirus Wausau Hospital Board, AWH Accountability Committee, Aspirus Inc. Board, AI Governance Committee, AI Quality Committee, Aspirus Riverview Hospital Board, Aspirus Doctors Clinic President, ADC Site Medical Director, and Southern Region Medical Director.

Dr. Voelker earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in Minneapolis and completed his residency in family medicine at Riverside Medical Center in Minneapolis. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Family Medicine.
