UPDATE: Stolen Ford Explorer Located and Recovered

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department has reported it took less than hour to locate and recover a vehicle stolen sometime last night.

“Wow, it took only one hour to locate this person’s stolen car, thanks to our attentive citizens,” said a WRPD Facebook post.

According to the WRPD, on December 21 at 5:46 a.m. an Officer from the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department responded to a reported stolen vehicle from the driveway of a residence in the 1300 block of Oak Street in the city of Wisconsin Rapids. The vehicle was stolen during the overnight hours.

Make: Ford
Model: Explorer Sport
Style: 2-Door SUV
Color: Maroon
Wisconsin License Plate: 758JXF

The keys were inside of the vehicle.
There are two “Lake Arrowhead” stickers on the front windshield. Inside of the vehicle was a bag of tools and hard hats.
