imprisonment, or a $25,000 fine or both if convicted.

Nadine Crowley, 27, of Green Bay is charged with misdemeanor encouraging of parole violation which carries a maximum sentence of up to nine months imprisonment, or a $10,000 fine or both if convicted.

According to court documents, on November 19 Grand Rapids and Wisconsin Rapids Police officers visited a home on the 6000 block of 32nd Street to determine if a wanted felon, Anthony Salmon, was at the residence. A warrant was out for Salmon’s arrest after he removed his ankle monitor and absconded from his supervised area. Salmon was on parole for second degree sexual assault.

Salmon’s vehicle was reported to have been seen at the suspected residence.

Police spoke with Stewart who lived at the home. She is Salmon’s aunt and admitted allowing Salmon to stay with her and knew of the warrant for his arrest. She said she loved him too much to call the police.

When police spoke with Crowley, Salmon’s girlfriend, she said she knew Salmon was in hiding but refused to tell them where. She reported he was working with an attorney until he “has his ducks in a row” and then he would turn himself in.

Crowley pleaded not guilty to her charge at her initial appearance in Wood County Circuit Court on December 28. She is free on a $500 cash bond and returns to court on January 15 at 9:00 AM for a pretrial conference.

Stewart is free on a $2,000 signature bond. She has not pleaded to any charges returns to court on January 15 at 11:00 AM for her arraignment.
