For the 11th straight year, the South Wood County Humane Society will wow passersby on Jan. 30.

The event will take place from 9 AM -5 PM at the Centralia Center in downtown Wisconsin Rapids.

This fundraiser will benefit and raise awareness for homeless pets in need of medial of behavioral care. Over a dozen teams will take part in the snow sculpting competition, and community judges will be there all day to review these works of snow art. The award ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM.

Inside the Centralia Center there will be gourmet soups for sale donated by local restaurants including Baker Street Grill, Boone’s Saloon, Chat-R-Box Cafe, Four Star Family Restaurant, Freddie’s Pub & Eatery, Great Expectations, Ida’s, Jennings & Co., Romano’s, Sportsman’s Pub & Grille and Wild Horse Saloon. Baked goods, refreshments, and snacks will also be provided.

A raffle will also be part of the event for a La-Z-Boy rocker recliner, donated by Furniture Plus. There will be live music provided by local band Two Left Feet and Tilly’s Village, as well as various children’s activities.

The South Wood County Humane Society would like to thank their sponsors for this year’s event: WOW Logistics, Polito’s Pizza, Furniture Plus, Dog Star Resort, BowWow Meow Boutique, the City of Wisconsin Rapids, Midwest Dental Clinic, WoodTrust Bank, Accurate Tax & Accounting, Solarus, Accounting Plus, and in loving memory of Kathleen Ann Goodness.
