Wisconsin Rapids Man Sentenced for Repeated Sexual Assault

A 26-year-old man was sentenced on Feb. 1, after the court found that he repeatedly raped a child.
Jesus Camacho, of Wisconsin Rapids, was charged with repeated sexual assault of a child. According to the complaint, an officer met with the child’s mother in regards to the repeated assaults which took place between 2007 and 2010.
Camacho would babysit the child at their family’s residence near Mead Elementary School, as well as other locations in Wisconsin Rapids in the three year span in which the assaults took place. On Feb. 10, 2015, the complainant confronted Camacho about his assaults in which he admitted raping the child.
According to the victim, the assaults happened eight to 12 times throughout the three years in which these acts were committed.
Camacho was sentenced by the court to 22 years in a Wisconsin state prison, and 16 years in-prison therapeutic community.
