Wisconsin Land and Water Speaking Contest Winners

Three Wisconsin Rapids students will represent the area at the Land Conservation Speaking Contests hosted by Wisconsin Land and Water on Feb. 12, 2016.

The three winners, Carlina Sii from Lincoln High School, Jacqueline Sii, from Wisconsin Rapids Middle School, and Skye Francis, from Grove Elemntary, won local speaking contests for their schools to move on to the North Central Speaking Contests held in Stevens Point. They read their speeches to the Wood County Conservation, Education & Economic Development Committee on Feb. 3.

The speaking contests, hosted by Wisconsin Land & Water will be held at the Portage County Annex on Feb. 12, located at 817 Whiting Ave. in Stevens Point.
