Police & Sheriff Calls Feb. 14

Prescribed Problem: At 8:24 p.m. a 911 call was made from a resident to on the 1300 block of McKinley St. asking for help reading a prescription drug bottle for another person. Assistance was rendered and the incident has been closed.

Traffic Pest: A call was placed from a resident on the 400 block of Piltz Ave. regarding an SUV that keeps speeding through the area on multiple occasions through the past few days. The complainant called back to report that he would stop the vehicle on his own if nothing was done. Extra patrol was put in the area and the incident has been closed.

Barred from this Business: At 12:51 a.m. a call was made from a business on the 2600 block of 8th St. South regarding a man causing a disturbance. The complainant requested that this person back into his place of business and was escorted out. The incident has been closed.

Concern of Abuse: A call was placed from the 200 block of Lyon St. regarding a concerned parent who dropped their child off at friends the previous night in understanding that the child would be brought back in the morning. She did not return, however, the her friend is allegedly abusive. The concerned parent’s calls or texts were not answered. Contact was eventually made with the daughter and she is safe. The incident has been closed.
