Police & Sheriff Calls Feb. 17

Too Young: At 8:24 a.m. a call was made from the 300 block of Lincoln St. from a concerned resident regarding a possible overdose of a 15-year-old girl. The girl was acting incoherent and this caused enough concern for an ambulance to be called. A report was made and the incident has been closed.
Hiding in the Basement: At 1:51 p.m. a call was made from a resident on the 1000 block of 10th Ave. South regarding a young woman claiming that a family member hit her and kicked her out of the house. The complainant hid in the basement while making the call to dispatch. Assistance was rendered, and the incident is closed.
Intoxicated Driver: A call was placed by a concerned resident by Riverview Expressway and W. Grand Ave. regarding a drunk driver. The person who phoned into dispatch was riding with the driver and got out of the vehicle out of concern for his own safety, then called police for the driver’s safety. Assistance was rendered and the incident has been closed.
Remote Disturbance: At 6:19 p.m. a call was made regarding a 12-year-old boy on the corner of 14th and Chestnut St. playing with a remote control car. The boy was dressed in all black and was driving the car out in the middle of the street. The incident has been closed.
