The Wood County Association for Home and Community Education(HCE) will be hosting Facts and Futures of GMOs, presented by Teri Lessig, Horticulture Educator with Wood County UW-Extension, on Tuesday, March 8, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Wood County Courthouse Auditorium.

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) have been receiving a lot of publicity over the last few years – both negative and positive.  This presentation will dive into the history of GMOs and the facts surrounding them. There are a lot of areas that are being explored for transgenic plants but the future is uncertain. This presentation is open to the public.

Wood County Home and Community Education (HCE) is a non-profit organization which partners with UW-Extension Family Living to bring quality educational programming to its members and the community.

The Wood County Courthouse Auditorium is located at 400 Market St. in Wisconsin Rapids. For more information on the Facts and Futures of GMOs presentation please contact the UW-Extension office at 715-421-8437 or email [email protected]
