Police & Sheriff Calls for Feb. 25

Addicted to Coke: At 7:40 p.m. a call was made from a business on the 1700 block of 17th Ave. South regarding a shoplifter. This person allegedly took two bottles of coke and ran out of the store. Officers will be on the lookout, but this incident is closed.
Puppy Theft: At 6:02 p.m. a call was placed to dispatch from the 1400 block of 22nd Ave. South regarding stolen puppies. Officers were unable to make contact with the person who may have allegedly stolen them, and for now the incident is closed.
Good Deed Done: At 1:00 p.m. a call was placed to dispatch regarding a found credit card by the corner of 21st Ave. South and Gaynor Ave. The person who lost the card was notified and arrangements were made to return the lost credit card to her. The incident is closed.
Pay Your Rent: At 3:52 p.m. a call was placed from the 1400 block of 23rd St. North regarding two men attempting to break into a residence they were just evicted from. Police contacted the men and told them not to return. The incident is closed.
Too Cute: At 11:39 p.m. a call was placed to dispatch from a concerned resident on 3rd St. and Chestnut St. in regards to a kitten seen in the middle of the road. It turns out that it was actually a bunny. The incident is closed.
