A proposal by the Boy Scout Troop in Wisconsin Rapids could see the group creating a new sign for Alexander Field, also known as the South Wood County Airport.

Cameron Flinders, 14, made a presentation to the members of the South Wood County Airport Commission on Thursday evening regarding a new sign. The current signage used for the airport is small and dilapidated, and this would start a project to create a bigger and more visible sign for Alexander Field.

There are currently five prototypes being discussed, and the proposal will be taken to the next South Wood County Airport Commission meeting to potentially approve the action.
