Steel Guitar Show, Dance, Slated for Mar. 18-20

For the City Times

The 15th Annual Dairy State Steel Guitar Show is set to take place in the Hotel Mead Grand Ballroom this weekend.

Started in 2001, the show features local and regional steel guitar players all genres to display their talents, and hold performances and jam sessions for those in attendance. For the first time ever, this year will see three players who have been inducted into the International Steel Guitar Hall of Fame. (Joe Wright, Lynn Owsley, and Billy Robinson)

“The Yodelin Cowgirl” Naomi Bristow will also be featured this weekend’s events. The shows start from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 18, and shows from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 715-423-0793 or 715-213-3793. The Hotel Mead is located at 451 E. Grand Ave. in Wisconsin Rapids.
