Reckless Driving: At 11:42 a.m. a call was made from the intersection of 2nd Ave. South and Gaynor Ave. regarding a reckless driver. She was reportedly driving all over the road, hitting curbs, and almost hit a streetlight. She was heading towards the Rapids Mall, but officers made contact with her, and arrested her.

False Alarm: At 10:39 p.m. a call was made from the 4500 block of 8th St. South regarding a potential prowler. There was a red vehicle parked in front of a building with the lights on. The vehicle, however, was being dropped off for repairs at a business and was waiting for a ride.

Dangerous Racism: A call was made from the 1900 block of Lincoln St. regarding a man who stated that he was headed towards a local tavern to “find black people to kill”. Officers caught up with the man and the situation was curtailed.

Welfare Check: At 11:16 a.m. a call was made from the 3500 block of Norton St. regarding a man making suicidal threats. He was in possession of a firearm and had been drinking. When officers arrived, the man was sleeping and everything is okay. A report has been made on the incident.
