For the City Times

Historic Point Basse in Nekoosa is holding a maple syrup observation this Saturday, Mar. 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Attendees can see maple sap being cooked down to make syrup. The syrup will be boiled down using Native American techniques. Those in attendance can also sample 100 percent maple syrup on a silver dollar sized buckwheat pancake in the Wakely House.

The cost is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. For further information call (715) 459-1722.
