Police & Sheriff Calls for Mar. 26
Blanket Thief: At 11:02 a.m. a call was made from a hotel on the 4000 block of 8th St. South regarding a stolen bedspread. Police contacted the suspected thieves, and the quilt was returned to the police department for pickup.
Found Needles: At 6:52 p.m. a call was made from the block of 25th Ave. South regarding a bag of needles found in the road. The needles were properly disposed of.
Wanderlust: At 7:10 p.m. a call was made from a business on the 3200 block of 8th St. South regarding an 8-year-old boy wandering around the area. He was seen at two other local businesses, and then outstanding standing in the rain. The mother was contacted and everything is okay.
Big Wheeling: At 12:21 p.m. a call was made from the corner of E. Grand Ave. and 2nd St. South regarding a small child in a big wheel. Officers contacted the children and they were using the big wheel to go down the hill on Birch St.
