A warrant has been issued for a 26-year-old man who faces charges of intimidating a victim and domestic abuse.

Korey Adams, of Wisconsin Rapids, is charged with felony intimidation of a victim, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and domestic abuse. According to police reports, on Oct. 20, 2015, an officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Chase St. regarding a domestic disturbance.

The complainant informed the officer that Adams used to live with her for two months before moving out of the residence on Oct. 3. After this, Adams would harass her on multiple occasions by driving by her friend’s house and revving his engine, doing burnouts, sending her text messages, and calling her repeatedly.

According to reports, the officer spoke with the complainant’s friend who stated that Adams came to her residence on Oct. 20 with a large amount of the complainant’s items. Adams also allegedly carried a pistol on him, which he placed on the floor. Adams then informed her that he smashed the complainant’s laptop, and cut up her student ID card, debit card, and child support card.

Officers contacted Adams who denied damaging any of the complainant’s items.

The complainant would receive a phone call from Adams after police made contact with him. The conversation was recorded, and according to reports, Adams informed the complainant that he would “sit in”, meaning jail time, and then threatened to “break every bone in her body” as a result of calling the police.

If convicted, Adams faces up to 10 years imprisonment and up to $25,000 in fines.
