Police & Sheriff Calls for Apr. 3
“911, my phone has been shut off”: At 8:22 a.m. a 911 call was made from the 1300 block of McKinley St. regarding a man who says his cable service shut off his phone. He believed another man was responsible for it. Dispatch informed him to stop calling 911 over this.
Duck Abuse: At 6:55 p.m. a call was made from the 200 block of E. Grand Ave regarding a man who drove “really fast” in efforts to hit a duck. The incident has been put on record.
Stranger Danger: At 8:51 p.m. a call was made by a concerned resident regarding a friend who was meeting a man she met online at a parking on on the 4300 block of 8th St. South. She texted the caller “911” which prompted the call to police. Officers arrived to find that the friend was okay.
Threatened by an Attic: At 11:54 p.m. a call was made from the 900 block of Baker St. regarding a party that was too loud, according to the caller. She was told by a party member that if the police were called, they would lock her in the attic.
