Final Election Summary

Tuesday night’s elections saw high turnout and long lines. Below are the final tallies for contested and notable elections in your area. Results are unofficial until the canvass is complete on Tuesday, Apr. 12.

In the race for Wisconsin Rapids Mayor, incumbent Zach Vruwink took 56 percent of the votes to defeat challenger Robert Nash to win his third straight term.

Nekoosa mayor Alan Marcoux ran unopposed and will add on another term. Pittsville mayor Dale Nichols, and Marshfield mayor Chris Meyer also ran unopposed.

Incumbent Todd Ferkey defeated Lee Graf in the race for District 2 alderperson with 55 percent of the votes. Joseph Zurfluh won his first seat in government by defeating Lee Thao for District 1 alderperson, gaining 65 percent of the votes.

Douglas Hustedt defeated Ericka Cloud Totzke in the race for Nekoosa District School Board Member gaining 56 percent of the votes.

Tracy Jo Lenz, and Kathy McGrath both won seats as Port Edwards District School Board Members, as well as Anne Lee and Mary Rayome for Wisconsin Rapids.

Bill Clendenning and Kathy Alft won seats for Grand Rapids Town Board Supervisors.
