Police & Sheriff Calls for Apr. 5

Lost Change: At 6:35 a.m. a call was made from the 400 block of Clyde Ave. regarding a vehicle break-in. The caller reported that the only thing taken out of the car was some loose change.
Attempted Break-in: At 12:19 p.m. a call was made from a resident on the 2200 block regarding someone who the caller believed has tried to break into his house on multiple occasions. The person was allegedly unable to break in and the caller wanted it on record.
Gas Leak: At 10:56 p.m. a call was made from a residence on the corner of 8th St. South and Ruby Ave. regarding a strong odor of gas in the area. After further investigation, the odor was coming from a tanker truck parked in a nearby parking lot.
Unwelcome Trash: At 5:48 p.m. a call was made from a business on the 1700 block of 17th Ave. South regarding a person who dumped a large amount of trash in their dumpster. An officer spoke to the individual on what can and can’t go into a dumpster.
